Capability Building Inc is a not for profit association founded in Benalla in 2007 by families with members with developmental and medical difficulties, and their supporters. It is run by, and for affected families.
EdSpace School is the first major project of Capability Building Inc and was opened in 2008. It aims to provide individualised educational programs for students of entry age 11-18 with medical or developmental disorders affecting their success in mainstream schooling. We have a policy of health and education services working together to support students and their families, a wraparound approach.
EdSpace is located in the Benalla CBD at 24 Carrier Street in Benalla, in north east Victoria. Nearby community facilities include the Aquatic Centre and sporting fields. The scenic lake walking track and bike track, art gallery, railway station, shops, gymnasia and supermarkets are all within walking distance of the facility.
Capability Building Inc (ABN 67 413 037 955) is a registered charitable organisation, with Deductible Gift Recipient and Public Benevolent Institution status with the Australian Tax Office.
